Delmar Noyes is the Assistant Manager for Tank Farms Project, responsible for successful operations of Hanford’s Tank Farms and tank waste treatment, including the oversight and management of storage, treatment and disposal activities for more than 56 million gallons of high-level hazardous and radioactive waste stored in 177 underground tanks. Delmar has over 32 years of experience managing projects involving nuclear operations, maintenance, deactivation, and environmental remediation.
Other Hanford experience includes deputy Federal Project Director for Hanford’s Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project. Delmar began his federal career in the U.S. Navy at a nuclear shipyard and qualified as a nuclear shift test engineer.
Delmar holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in environmental policy and management from the University of Denver. He is qualified as a Federal Project Director, senior safety technical manager, emergency preparedness program administrator, facility representative, nuclear shift test engineer, and designated as a Contracting Officer’s Representative.
